I'm totally in love with this piece, I think it's my best to date!
I was browsing Google images for reference photos and came across a picture of a beautiful blond with a gorgeous skin tone. It was so pretty and soft and feminine that I had to try drawing it on the computer. The original picture was only 2" and her mouth was open a little, I decided to close it to keep the softness I was after. I started by gridding the original photo, making my canvas the same dimensions but bigger and gridded it as well then drew in where her features would go.
See, see, I do use layers sometimes, just not often. I used a new tool on her hair, the brush tool on the screen setting. I really like the texture it gives.
